“Incredibly well-written with a great writing style and filled with humorous moments, this book is a must-read…that is sure to make you laugh.” -Readers’ Favorite Review

Kate Foster runs the Summerside Inn (and her life) by well-organized checklists. Make sure the caterers don't serve devil's food cake to the Christian Women's Alliance– check. Tell my mother that having a séance to get rid of any unwanted spirits in the kitchen during dinnertime is not okay- check.

Send a friendly reminder to all staff that the pens are colour coded for everyone's enjoyment, and therefore it is not a good idea to put them all in one jar in order to "spice things up" as was anonymously suggested– check.

But, when an acclaimed hotel critic dies at the Inn, just before she's about to publish a scathing review that would ruin the business, Kate's life and checklists are thrown into disarray. And it doesn't help matters that the detective assigned to the case is messy, unorganized, and too charming for his own good. Now Kate has to prove her innocence and save her Inn, or else the only thing that she'll be organizing is the prison's next bake sale.

“Atkinson has a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable writing style, creating characters and dialogue that are both authentic and accurate.” -Dan M.

Andy Macmillan is a soldier, not a hero. I mean, look at him, leading a detachment to fire a heavy machinegun over the heads of recruits scrambling through the muddy training ground in the Scottish Highlands. Join the army to see the world and meet pretty lasses? Hardly! Then a blinding red light fills the eastern sky and a mist engulfs them, filled by shadowy figures from a bygone age.

The mist rolls back to reveal a simpler landscape, where the air is filled with the taint of burning peat, and the sound of Gaelic voices. When Andy's squad encounters the local Lochaber villagers, only the headman — Achnacon — can speak English, the detested tongue of King George. Language is no barrier to love, however, and Achnacon's daughter, Ishbel, has no need of English when she meets Andy, her brave soldier from the future.

An adhar dearg — the red light in the sky — has reached through time and brought Andy back for a reason. Glen Laragain in 1746 is not a time for lovers to fool around in the heather. The Highlanders have had their fill of King George in distant London and have risen in rebellion in support of Bonnie Prince Charlie. In this age, Fort William is not just the name of a town, a tourist stop for coach trips to the Scottish Highlands.

The fortified military base at Fort William exists for a single purpose: for the redcoats to control this region of Scotland. Now the Highlanders' siege of Fort William has been broken, and the garrison is thirsting for revenge. The history books tell of the resulting massacres. The redcoats are coming!

More than a just a time travel romance, The Last Sunset is a tale of rebellion, of sacrifice and choice, of one man's struggle to prove himself and the woman he needs to do so. Andy McMillan is a soldier. But will he also prove to be a hero?

A malevolent genius unleashes a dangerous plot that threatens to destabilize the political system and could bring America crashing to its knees in months. His plot is frighteningly easy to implement, yet extremely hard to combat. He aims to up-end the rule of law in such a way that even the police will turn against it. He must be stopped!

Leah, an Oxford University graduate with big ambitions, together with handsome NSA agent, JJ, are caught in events seemingly beyond their control. Their resourcefulness, intelligence and wit become the only things left standing between world stability and total chaos. This engrossing and at times, chilling novel, holds within its pages a genuinely subversive plot that in the wrong hands could easily be turned into a nightmarish reality.

Twenty-eight-year-old Kate Delaney left New Falls, Tennessee, heartbroken but determined to be a successful screenwriter. She's spent the last ten years in LA, but is back in town, fifty pounds lighter, California hotter, and she's written The End on a screenplay, which is movie magic in the making.

Just one problem—a nerve-nuking thief runs-off with her laptop, attached USB back-up, and the contents of her underwear drawer—and as if that wasn't enough, the heartbreaker from ten years ago just walked through the door with a sheriff's badge and looking more hormone-carbonating than ever.

Quentin Taylor likes the new and improved Kate, but to be honest, his feelings aren't new. When a teen-aged Kate bloomed, her older brother Reese established a no-look, no-touch, no-anything else rule. Quentin figured it was the anything else that worried him most. Attractive then, now she was irresistible, and he needed to know one thing. Was touching her still off-limits?

Despite a meddling, matchmaking mother, a gossiping dispatcher/receptionist with an obsession for orange, and a small-town burglar who steals thimble collections, garden tools, and underwear, Quentin and Kate search for her missing script and try not to fall for each other as they get Lost in New Falls.

Things Go Wrong For Me (when life hands you lemons, add vodka) is a memoir of sorts, a roadmap of Rodney Lacroix’s haywire life thus far. From his childhood, through the raising of his own kids, to his vasectomy and post-divorce world … this book is more than just a culmination of outrageous stories woven into a cohesive narrative, it's a testament for the “little guy.”

In this case, literally. Rodney is 5'3". He's very little. Almost tiny. Bank tellers offer him lollipops. He makes holiday money wearing green stockings and fake ears. But even though he's small in stature, his stories and the laughs that accompany them are definitely BIG.

A trigger-happy young detective becomes immersed in a world of bees and mad honey in order to catch a murderer.

Miami homicide detective Elizabeth Stratton knows she’s lucky to still have a job, but she’s tired of only getting the easy cases. She’ll never be able to regain the respect of her colleagues without a chance to prove she’s no longer an anxious mess who shoots at anything that moves.

Her opportunity comes during a routine check at a near-abandoned hotel. While trying to save the living, she finds the dead. In the midst of a bee infestation is the body of a young woman, her mouth filled with honey.

Elizabeth is grudgingly allowed to keep the case, which rapidly becomes compelling when the honey is found to be poisonous and the bees follow her home.

But just when she’s closing in on the killer, he targets her new friend and Elizabeth must brave the high winds of a category four hurricane to save her.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Smart plot with an interesting premise: a bee keeping killer whose taste for honey runs toward dark haired young beauties. As the body count mounts, the author moves the reader through a list of suspects and their alibi’s and finally to the exciting conclusion. This book is on my short list as one of the best police procedural books I’ve read this year!

*******

A real page turner. Nice plot twists and a quick read that kept my attention the whole book. And on the beekeeping side, the author did an impeccable job on her research; very accurate and blended into the story quite well

*******

If you love detective mysteries you will love this book. One to pack in a bag and take on holiday. Clever plot twists and not what you expect which makes for a refreshing read by Juliet Moore.

*******

The Beekeeper was full of suspense and surprises. I was hooked until the very end. I had no clue who the real killer was and I can usually spot them early on. You’ll like this one.

*******

A very good book. It was fast paced with strong female character. It keeps you guessing right up to the end.
