If you are looking for a quick read, with great characters, poignant observations on some British traditions, and laugh out loud humor, grab "Mr. Darcy's Dogs" and fall in love with this new Barbara Silkstone series. ******* This is one of my favorite books that I have read recently. I have read and loved Barbara’s other works and she has shifted her genre a bit here and done it well. This is a lovely book with mystery and flirtation, leading to … well, you must read it to find out. ******* It’s a cute story with a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor and dry sarcasm. It’s sort of a Jane Austen meets Monty Python tale. I truly enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys British wit. ******* While still paying homage to the famous novel, Mr. Darcy’s Dogs has a story quite its own that totally drew me in. It’s a really fun escape that has me panting for the next one (pun intended)! ******* This is one of Barbara’s best yet.
